a hard 6

I ran 6 last night. It was hard. I don't usually want to quit but I did. But I couldn't. I finished.

Running is hard. Hard on the mind. Hard on the body.

I live with ice packs, ibuprofen, band aids and bio freeze. Last week's long run caused chaffing in really bad places and now they are scabs. AND I eat like a horse because I'm hungry all the time! Water is my new diet coke, which is good. But sometimes I miss being lazy. Sometimes I just want to drink diet coke and eat whatever I want instead of making sure I am eating the stuff that will fuel my run.

Despite all of it, I remain faithful. I'm still in love with the most excruciating sport ever.

Hard Running,

Amanda
