It was cold. The coldest so far of the season. I decided to test the run out with my clothes to see how I would feel the morning of the 1/2. I wore a long sleeve running shirt and gloves and it felt great the first mile but I could have easily felt great in a short sleeve. I did wear shorts and my legs felt great! I will for sure be wearing shorts and unless Dallas gets some sort of insane cold front (totally possible), I will be wearing short sleeves and gloves I can toss.
The cool air was on my side. I ran 5 miles faster than I ever had and I was not trying to be fast. I remember looking down at the GARMIN and thinking, "Okay, this has to be the cold air helping me!" My lips are chapped, my face has some wind burn but the run was great!! The last mile I ran in the 7's and 8's! That was cool!
Cool running,
Amanda

Hey Amanda,
I've been keeping track of your running and have enjoyed you allowing us (your readers) to take the journey with you. I am training for a half marathon next spring. It has been a spiritual journey for me as well. I read an article recently that said if it's going to be 40 degrees or more shorts are the way to go. Great job on the pace today! I look forward to reading about your marathon experience next week.
For His pleasure and glory,
Terri
